Silicium is an important component of the macromolecules elastin and collagen and induces cell proliferation of fibroblasts. A new formation of elastin and collagen fibers of the connective tissue is thus significantly promoted. Silicium binds moisture in the epidermis and gives the skin a tightening effect with improved skin elasticity
